Rajitha Senaratne, Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine has ordered Amal Harsha de Silva, Deputy Director General (Medical Services II) to transfer all prison doctors effective immediately.

This is due to the allegations that doctors attached to prison hospital are aiding and assisting politicians who are imprisoned, to admit to the prison hospital.

Other doctors to be appointed to the vacant positions.
