Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake, in parliament yesterday, asked under which law the government had acquired the land belonging to JVP founder Rohana Wijeweera in Ulapane.
He was joined by Joint Opposition MP Mahinda Amaraweera who asked the government if it planned to remove the National Youth Services Council Vocational Training Centre from the property and return the land to Wijeweera’s family.
National Policies and Economic Affairs Deputy Minister Niroshan Perera, responding for the government, said a decision had not been taken in that regard.
