The University Grants Commission (USG) has set up an online mechanism to report incidents of ragging, harassment, intimidation, and bullying.

Complaints can be lodged at the following web address: http://eugc.ac.lk/rg/

Complaints lodged on the UGC website will be investigated by university authorities, who will also offer counselling and support, the UGC said.

The move comes in the wake of the arrest of fifteen students attached to the Agriculture faculty of the University of Peradeniya, for ragging students in an abandoned house.

The eight students who were stripped naked and assaulted were admitted to hospital after Police raided the abandoned house on a tip-off.
