Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development says the fisheries sector will be developed with a target of 5 billion US dollars income by 2030.
Starting bilateral talks with Thailand in Bangkok to enhance fishing activities of Sri Lanka, the minister said fishing sector is the major source of nutrition in the country. Annual per capita consumption of fish will be increased up to 22 kilograms by 2020.
