Sri Lanka police has arrested an army officer and two soldiers over the abduction and assault on senior journalist Keith Noyahr in 2008.

Keith Noyahr, an associate editor with Sunday Times at the time was abducted nine years ago, when he was returning from work.

According to Police spokesman Priyantha Jayakody, the suspects were arrested today for their role in the abduction and assault.
