An altercation between students from Ananda College and Nalanda College has resulted in the arrest of fifteen students and the hospitalisation of more.

The altercation comes when rivalry between the two schools is on a high, a mere month before the traditional ‘big match’.

Reports say the clash had taken place within the premises of D. S. Senanayake College, and that several students from D.S. were also involved.

Six vehicles have been damaged in the clash, Police said.
