Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne has said that he has no personal issues with the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM).
At a meeting with a group of doctors at the Health Ministry, the minister pointed out that he only has a difference in opinion on a policy relating to SAITM.
The Health Minister further said he had no issue with students' protest either - “Students’ unions are continuing protests against SAITM. I have no problem with the students,” he said.
“But I do have issues with some of the political parties”, the Minister said, requesting political parties to stop fishing in muddy water.
The Minister also said he would discuss the set of proposals presented to him by the deans of a number of medical faculties on Wednesday (15).
