Lahiru Weerasekara, the Convener of the Inter University Students’ Federation (IUSF), has been released on bail by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today.

He was remanded for having violated Court Orders, assaulting Police and causing inconvenience to the public by behaving in a violent manner and leading a protest while failing to appear in Court.
