Rights Of General Public Cannot Be Violated By Protests: Sagala

Minister Sagala Ratnayake says the rights of the general public cannot be violated due to the protests of certain elements.

He added that any country should have a vibrant system of law.

The Minister pointed out that each and every citizen of the country is supposed to be bound by the current law.

The Minister also noted that the government based on good governance principal has always being committed to protect rule of the law and democracy.

Minister Ratnayake made these comments in Parliament yesterday.

Parliamentarian S.M. Marikkar said that a separate place should be introduced to hold protests to minimize inconveniences caused on the public.
