The World Bank grants 125 million dollar of loan facility for the development of the agricultural sector in Sri Lanka.

The relevant MOU was signed recently. Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Dr. R.H.S. Samarathunga and the Sri Lankan resident representative of World Bank Ida Svarai signed this agreement.

The main objective of this project is to increase the revenue of agriculture sector with the support of modern technology.
