According to Investing.com, Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Services, Plantations and Power & Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.84% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Agstar PLC (CM:AGST), which rose 16.00% or 0.80 points to trade at 5.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Lanka Ashok Leyland PLC (CM:ASHO) added 10.16% or 107.90 points to end at 1169.90 and Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) was up 10.00% or 0.100 points to 1.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Indo Malay PLC (CM:INDO), which fell 16.06% or 229.60 points to trade at 1200.00 at the close. Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) declined 14.29% or 0.100 points to end at 0.600 and Alufab PLC (CM:ALUF) was down 11.92% or 4.10 points to 30.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 137 to 54 and 40 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) fell to 5-year lows; losing 14.29% or 0.100 to 0.600.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $53.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.21% or 0.12 to hit $56.69 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.55 to trade at $1224.35 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.65% to 188.130, while USD/LKR rose 0.58% to 150.640.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 99.97.
