The special Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate the Central Bank bond issue met for the inaugural session at the Justice Ministry today.
Supreme Court Judges K.T. Chithrasiri and P.S. Jayawardene and retired Auditor General K. Vellupillai were appointed to the Presidents Commission of Inquiry probing the Central Bank bond issue at the end of last month.
Commission proceedings to be conducted as a closed hearing.
The President has instructed the commission to submit its first report in three months.
A panel of states counsel, appointed by the Attorney General, will also assist the members of the commission during their sessions.
