Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero stated that country needs more and more private universities.

If there are more collages and institutions as Malabe private medical college, a large amount of money spent on foreign education by Sri Lankan students can be reduced, he further noted.

Since everyone in the country cannot enter to the state universities institutions like SAITM are assets, he added.

Dr. Dilantha Vithanage, Chief Executive of Bodu Bala Sena (BBS said that if the private hospitals are conducting serious surgeries, there are no obstacles to establish private medical colleges.
