A paratrooper attached to the Sri Lanka Air Force sustained injuries to his legs when he landed in the seas off the Galle Face Green, during rehearsals for Independence Day.
The tri-forces have been rehearsing every morning on the stretch between the Galle Face roundabout and the Old Parliament for the 69th celebration of Independence from the British Raj, which falls on February 4th.
Five paratroopers had landed in the sea during the rehearsals today, one of whom sustained injuries to his legs.
