The Supreme Court today ordered to call consideration Fundamental Rights petition filed by MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara which calls for the suspension of the government’s decision to provide two Chinese investors 1500 acres of land from the Hambantota Porton, on February 13.
Attorney General informed the court that the petition mentions the land transfer happened in 2016, though memorandum of understanding (MoU) singed in 2012.
Further AG said at the time petitioner was part of the cabinet and has concealed those information in the petition.
