Wasim Thajudeen Murder: Two High-ranking Army Officers Questioned

Prosecution informed Colombo Additional Magistrate Aruna Buddhadasa today, that after analyzing records of phone calls made from Presidential Secretariat on day of the murder of national Rugby player Wasim Thajudeen, two high-ranking Army officers of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s security division were questioned.

Further, CID informed the court that the DNA test report on the bone pieces recovered from SAITM laboratory is pending.

Former senior DIG Anura Senanayake and former Crimes OIC of Narahenpita Police station Sumith Chinthaka Perera further remanded till February 16.
