The FCID today informed court that the investigations against Vinayagamoorthi Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman on alleged misuse of a state vehicle have been concluded and the matter has been referred to the AG for advice.

Karuna's lawyers requested for the reduction of his bail conditions saying that there was a security concern in reporting to the FCID each Sunday.

It was informed that he was traveling from Batticaloa to report to the FCID as per the bail conditions.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe Bandara allowed for the lessening of the bail condition and ordered him to report to FCID on the last Sunday of each month.
