UPFA MP Namal Rajapaksa will appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption on February 15 at 10 a.m. to give a statement.
Rajapaksa's lawyers gave this undertaking today at the Supreme Court when the contempt of court case filed against him by the Bribery Commission was considered.
Rajapaksa informed that he was willing to give a statement to the commission and asked for the termination of the case. The case had been filed after he had not appeared before the commission on several instances.
The Supreme Court said that the case cannot be terminated without observing the proceedings and set February 21 for the next hearing.
