Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe says within the next five years Sri Lanka would be a developed country which is now prevailing as a developing country. He points out two objectives in attaining this goal. One is coming into trade agreements with developed nations and 2nd is inviting more and more tourists in to the country. Harbors of Trincomalee and Hambanthota will be further developed.

Prime minister indicated these points when he inaugurated the first stage of mega polis project in Muthurajawela area. Mega polis and western province development ministry and Sri Lanka land reclamation and development corporation in association with private sector implement these projects. 100 projects of this nature will begin in the coincidence with the completion of two years of service by the president Maithripala Sirisena.
