An individual was arrested today after he shouted in open court when National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa was remanded further.

The incident occurred in the presence of Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne, who ordered him to be detained, after he shouted that the then Deputy Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna and the then Chairman of State Engineering Corporation Ashu Marasinghe, should also be arrested.

The Magistrate ordered the police to file a B report on obstructing court proceedings against the individual, Gampolage Sudesh Premalal from Panadura.
