Delimitation of local government areas will be gazetted at the end of this month.

Secretary to the Ministry of Local government and provincial councils Kamal Padmasiri said that it is aimed to publish the gazette by 31st of this month.

The errors in the report of the committee which was appointed to inquire the delimitation process are being corrected.

The Local Government Act will be amended in accordance with the opinion of the chairman of the elections commission.

The bill has already been sent to the Attorney Generals Department.
