Discussions between former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and SLFP Chief Ministers ended inconclusively this morning.

Several SLFP CMs attended the meeting with the notable exception of Peshala Jayaratne of North Central Province. He had said that he could not be present due to "unavoidable circumstances".

The discussions centred around the Local Government polls and ended inconclusively.
