Sri Lanka Has Lost Income Of 4,500 Million Rupees After Cancellation Of GSP Plus: Marikkar

Parliamentarian M.s.Marikkar says that Sri Lanka has lost a direct and indirect income of 4,500 million rupees after cancellation of GSP Plus.

Parliamentarian said that Sri Lanka lost this facility due to the activities of the last regime and the present government has not agreed to any condition detrimental to the country in regaining GSP plus.

The unison government is committed to consolidate democracy, media freedom , the Defence of the country, independence of the judiciary and the establishment of commissions.

Mr.Marikkar also said that the United National Party in its election manifesto has clearly mentioned about the unitary character of the country and this is the policy of the UNP.

And there is no dispute over granting due place to the Buddhism.
