Minister Kabir Hashim says that the so-called joint opposition has made false statements over the Srilankan airlines.
The national carrier had started making huge losses from the Rajapaksa regime. In 2008, it was able earn 4.4 billion net profit.
But at the end of year 2009 the loss of the company was 9.3 billion rupees.
Minister added that the present government was able to reduce the loss to 1.6 billion rupees.
The government received nine offers for Sri Lankan but none were from a major international airline operator, he added.
Minister while addressing a press briefing in Colombo said that inquiries will be held on local and international level to investigate the aircraft deals taken place during the last regime.
