Minister of Irrigation Gamini Vijith Vijayamuni soyza assures that all necessary facilities will be provided to the farmers amidst the prevailing drought condition. The Minister further said that well water facilities will be provided to the farmers to protect their cultivation lands.

The Minister requests the general public and the farmers to use the water sparingly as the prevailing drought condition will continue for the next two months. Minister also requested the cultivators and farmers to focus on alternative crops which can be grown under these conditions. As a result the farmers can earn money for their living even at this difficult situation.
