Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe hails the opportunity to regain GSP+ tax concession, saying it’s a victory to the entire nation. Issuing a communique, the Prime Minister termed this victory as a result of the dedication of the government in ensuring democracy by protecting rights of the people.

The prime minister added that regaining GSP+ is not a victory only to the good governance government. The benefits should be reaped by all citizens of the country. By regaining this tax concession, local products will have an opportunity to access European market in a wide manner. It will also create many job opportunities.
