The Health Ministry says about 1000 dengue cases have been identified during the past 10 days in the New year. The dengue control unit of the ministry says over 22.3 million households and premises have been checked for dengue mosquitoes during the past year.

According to its report, over 40,000 premises have been identified as mosquito breeding grounds. Out of them the owners about 13,000 premises have been sued and about 97,000 premises have been noticed. There are 667 schools and 713 private institutions among them. The health ministry has decided to take stern actions against the persons who are responsible for having mosquito breeding places.

The fine in this regard will be increased.
