Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa today held a question and answer session via his official twitter account.
The session was filled with questions mostly regarding China deal, new US president, FCID, Sri Lanka Freedom Party, President Maithripala Sirisena to contest the 2020 Presidential Elections and family members in politics by many twitter users.
He was asked about the position Chinese deal.
In response he noted that he is not against obtaining Chinese support for development work as long as the people’s interests are protected.

People’s struggle is not about individuals. Leaders will follow people’s mandate he said while answering a question regarding his re-entrance of popular politics.
He expressed his displeasure regarding ECTA agreement.

During the session, twitter users questioned Former President Rajapaksa about the possibilities of contesting the 2020 Presidential Election.
In response said he will support the decision taken by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
