The Finance Ministry announced that price of kerosene will be reduced by Rs 5 per litre from midnight today.

This was a proposal put forward by the government. It is said that Ceypetco was not instructed by the ministry to carry out the change in the price of kerosene before today.

Kerosene will now be priced at Rs 44 per litre.
