Responding to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's objective of toppling the government in 2017, President Maithripala Sirisena today said that such dreams will remain as a dream and the government will not be toppled.
He made this observation at the 50th anniversary celebration of the SLBC.
President Sirisena pointed out that the government will not be changed under the present constitutional provisions and there was no manner in which it will be swept away.
Sirisena had recently assured the UNP that he was not having any deals with the former President. Rajapaksa expressed confidence that the government will fall within 2017.
