The All Island Lottery Agents Association today decided to suspend the strike action they launched on January 1 following discussions with the President.
They opposed the increase of the price of a lottery ticket to Rs 30 while not changing their commissions.
However. President Sirisena promised to look into their grievances and therefore they were suspending the strike, the Chairman of the association Krishantha Marambage said.
Therefore, the lottery ticket sales will be resumed from tomorrow onwards, he added.
