Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to the US Jaliya Wickramasuriya was remanded further till January 11 by Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today.

He is in custody over the misuse of state funds amounting to 330,000 US dollars during President Rajapaksa's tenure.

Wickramasuriya was arrested by the FCID on November 17, 2016.

The FCID were ordered to file a progress report on the investigations against Wickramasuriya.
