The government’s sustainable vision will be declared tomorrow. It will take place at a ceremony to be held in the Presidential Secretariat under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena. At a press briefing held in Colombo today President’s Secretary P.B Abeykoon says a wider development programme will be implemented island wide this year. Many projects will take place under this programme.
Addressing the Media, President’s Advisor Shiral Lakthilaka says the special programme arranged by the President for sustainable development will be handed over to a special task force and made subjected to a broad discussion among the public. Later a permanent national development vision is to be created by entertaining the views of the public.
Sri Lanka is to achieve the UN sustainable development goals by 2030.
