Lanka IOC officials yesterday detained Ceypetco workers who arrived for repair work in the Trincomalee oil tanks.

The workers had gone there with permission from Ceypetco yesterday afternoon. However, the IOC officials had detained them for an hour saying that they were obstructing with work of the IOC.

Both sides have filed complaints with police on the matter.

Although Lanka IOC has leased some oil tanks from Ceypetco, the ownership of the oil tanks remain with the petroleum corporation.
