Cancer Relief Support Hotline Service Launched

The Cancer Relief Support Hotline Service for patients has been launched. 

0112 363 211 is the hotline to get connected to this service. 

The program is being mooted based on a concept of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya. 

The instant contact number has been named as the Cancer Relief Support Hotline.

The service is being launched with the aim of supporting the physical and mental counselling of cancer patients. 

This service will be launched at No: 45 B near the Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama. 

The service was launched as a result of the mediation of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya and his family members.

Addressing the launch Minister Dr. Rajitha Senarathne said that cancer has become one of biggest health threats in the country. 

He added that the government spends a huge sum of money, in certain cases more than 10 million rupees, for the cancer patients.
