Johan Fernando, son of former Minister Johnston Fernando, has been removed from the position of Chief Organizer of the Government party in North Western Provincial Council.

He has been removed on the recommendation of the provincial ministers.

All ministers have consented to his removal based on his failure to attend all four days of the debate of the provincial budget.

Meanwhile he was absent for six consecutive meetings, which automatically makes him disqualified for the post.
