Former Minister and National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa appeared before the FCID following a court order given earlier in the month.

Weerawansa is to be questioned over the alleged misuse of state vehicles.

The FCID earlier this month complained to court that Weerawansa was intentionally evading questioning giving various excuses. Following this complaint, a court order was given for Weerawansa to appear before the FCID on December 28.
