Two More Provinces Reject 'Super Minister' Bill

Two more provincial councils today rejected the Development (Special Provisions) bill when they were considered.

The Southern Provincial Council rejected the bill by 33 votes to 14 votes.

The Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council also rejected the bill by 20 votes to 13.

However, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe recently made a promise to the Chief Ministers that the bill will be amended.
