Former Chairperson of All Ceylon Buddhist Congress and Chairperson of Sumathi Group Milina Sumathipala passed away today at the age of 81.

She was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.

Sumathipala was the mother of seven children including Deputy Speaker Thilanga Sumathipala.
