A new bus service from Maharagama to Panadura via Bandaragama through the Southern Expressway will begin from the 1st of January.  A bus reaches from Maharagama to Panadura within 45 minutes. The  bus fare is 150 rupees.  

The Western provincial Commuter Transport Authority says such a bus service from Maharagama to Kadawatha will also be planned.
