Sri Lanka's largest private hospital Dr. Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital (NFTH) was allegedly accused of the death of young female who had a medical surgery in the hospital.

Many, including doctors unions stated that it was due to a mistake made by the hospital.

NFTH refused these allegations by issuing a statement.

Highlighting the post-mortem results, the it said that the hospital was not at fault. It further expressed that hospital is willing to face any inquiry.
