The Tamil National Alliance will appeal against the verdict of the Nadarajah Raviraj murder trial, TNA MP M.A. Sumanthiran told vernacular media today.
The jury released the five accused after the final day of the trial yesterday. The verdict was actually given just after midnight.
However, Sumanthiran said that he was not satisfied with the decision. He pointed out that the government had conducted the investigations and argued that the accused were the guilty.
Sumanthiran was the lawyer representing the aggrieved party in this case.
TNA MP Raviraj was murdered in 2006.
