Report by the Delimitation Committee has now been completed.

According to the Chairman of the Committee Asoka Peir, the proof reading of the report is currently underway.

He added that the final report will be handed over to the Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Faizer Mustapha on the 27th of December as scheduled.

The report is expected to address the concerns and grievances of the public and political parties.

A draft of the appeals investigation of the Delimitation Committee will be handed over to all political parties for perusal.

A five-member Delimitation Review Committee chaired by Ashoka Peries was then appointed by Minister Faizer Mustapha last year claiming that the Dissanayake’s committee report contained errors.
