NCP Ambulance Drivers Continue Stricke Action For Third Consecutive Day

The strike action launched by North Central Province Health Service Ambulance and Transport Drivers Association is now in the third day of the strike action. 

The strike action which was launched on Wednesday, is in opposition of the decision to recruit Health Service drivers to the Provincial Ministry.

Wasantha Kumara, Chairman of the North Central Province Health Service Ambulance and Transport Drivers Association  said authorities have not made any attempts to address the issues of the drivers thus far.

He said the strike action launched by the association has entered its third day, adding that no effort has been made by officials to discuss the issues at hand.

Wasantha Kumara said authorities have added army vans and officers to carry out the work of the ambulance drivers.
