Deputy Minister Palitha Thewarapperuma has joined the people in another protest in his Kalutara District, this time in the Bulathsinhala area.

Residents in Kobawaka, Bulathsinhala, allege that the Ukwelikanda Rubber Factory in the area is releasing effluents without the proper process. They say that they have complained of the matter to various authorities but no one has taken any step to resolve the dispute.

The deputy minister has joined the residents who are protesting and has said that he will remain there until the problem is resolved.
