Former Sri Lanka Transport Board Chairman Shashi Welgama was yesterday remanded till December 22 for alleged financial fraud amounting to Rs 125 million at SLTB.

He is accused of misappropriating funds in importing string leaves for STLB buses.

Welgama was the Chairman of the SLTB when his brother Kumara Welgama was Minister of Transport.
