The executive committee of the UPFA has agreed on the decision to conduct the local government election during the first quarter of next year. 

The decision was taken at the executive committee meeting of UPFA held yesterday under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena . 

Speaking after the conclusion of the meeting the Chairman of the SLFP Youth Front Shantha Bandara said UPFA will make the necessary preparations to face the local government election during the first quarter of next year.
