According to Investing.com, Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Land & Property, Plantations and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL), which rose 12.50% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.900 at the close. Meanwhile, On’ally Holdings PLC (CM:ONAL) added 10.00% or 5.00 points to end at 55.00 and Commercial Leasing & Finance PLC (CM:COLE) was up 9.37% or 0.300 points to 3.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (CM:KVAL), which fell 18.70% or 11.20 points to trade at 48.70 at the close. Property Development PLC (CM:PDL) declined 17.55% or 14.90 points to end at 70.00 and Hapugastenne Plantations PLC (CM:HAPU) was down 16.67% or 3.20 points to 16.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 77 to 52 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (CM:KVAL) fell to 5-year lows; losing 18.70% or 11.20 to 48.70. Shares in Property Development PLC (CM:PDL) fell to 52-week lows; falling 17.55% or 14.90 to 70.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.32% or 0.17 to $53.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.31% or 0.17 to hit $55.38 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.15% or 1.65 to trade at $1139.05 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.02% to 186.005, while USD/LKR fell 0.11% to 148.860.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 102.85.
