Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya temporarily removed the travel ban on UPFA MP Johnston Fernando today, allowing him to travel to Singapore between January 4-7.
Fernando requested the court to allow him to travel to Singapore for his wife's medical treatment.
Fernando's wife is to leave the country for medical treatment at Singapore National University Hospital
He was ordered to appear at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption on January 11, upon his return to the island.
The commission recently filed five cases against former Minister of Cooperatives and Internal Trade Johnston Fernando, for not declaring assets and liabilities during the years 2010 to 2014.
