Former SLFP Electorate Organizer and a host of Pro-Rajapaksa television show, A.B. Lalith de Silva has been appointed as the President's Media Director on International Affairs.
De Silva's show was aired on state-run ITN every morning and it was stopped after the new government came to power.
In his morning show, de Silva severely criticised policies of the US and its western allies, hailing the seemingly anti-US foreign policy adopted by the Rajapaksas. The former President appointed him as an SLFP Electorate Organiser for the Colombo District.
A journalist and a businessman by profession, de Silva's father was a former Editor of 'Dinamina' newspaper, published by the Associated Newspaper of Ceylon Limited.
Owner of his own hotel school, de Silva also holds a Diploma in Journalism from University of Sri Jayawardanapura.
